Food, one of the basic necessity of a human being. We all cherish and enjoy eating good food. Even when we go out with family and friends, we try to search for the place where good food is available so that chit-chat can be enjoyed along with the food. If the food of that place is not good, then it may upset the good conversation time as food is also is the punching factor of the gup-shup time.
Well different people like different variety of food. Some like South Indian, some Continental while some like Chinese food. However, no matter what type of food one like but we always tend to divide the person either as vegetarian or non vegetarian. In our group of family / friends we do have some people as vegetarians and non-vegetarians and one often try to emphasize his/her food type to be best. So what type of a foodie are you ? Vegetarian or Non-vegetarian? Are you the one who says that your food type is the best?
I have often seen people arguing on the food type viz . If you have a non-vegetarian friend ( and you being vegetarian) then you will advise/ tell your friend to eat veg. Similarly, if you have a vegetarian friend (you being non- vegetarian) then you may crack a joke that 'yeh toh ghass-phoos hi order karega/karegi'.
The most obvious and irritating question a vegetarian can get is ' how do you get proteins' or ' how can you survive without having non-veg' ? Similarly, the obvious question a non-veg can get is 'how can you eat someone' . I think that we all have been a part of such conversations where we have discussed/ put our thoughts on the person being veg or non-veg.
There is some interesting group of people as well, who call them as a eggeterians ( people who only eat eggs and not meat). I called this group interesting because though they specify themselves in class of veg but they tend to forget that an egg is also a form of life. Their is another interesting group of people, who will have the gravy from chicken/ mutton and simultaneously will give gyan on being a vegetarian.
This debate between veg and non-veg is an endless debate. Both the parties will give the benefits of their food. I think that a person is happy till the time they are having their favourite food (be it veg or non- veg) after-all a happy stomach leads to good thoughts. A person should have the food of their own choice as one can not think, do well if have not eaten well.
Mark Twain has rightly said ' Part of the secret of a success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside'.
So let one enjoy food and have the spectacular joy to life !!!!
